Thank you for your interest in Chess Program at Herron Preparatory Academy! Indy Chess is excited to offer this program on...

• 2nd to 3rd Grade: Monday afternoons beginning January 13 until May 19, 2025* from 3:20 to 4:30pm

• 4th to 6th Grade:  Wednesday afternoons beginning January 15 until May 21, 2025 from 3:20pm to 4:30pm.

*The two clubs will not meet the week of March 24-28 for Spring Break, nor any days that school is not in session (e.g., Martin Luther King, Jr. Day or parent teacher conference days).

Siblings in different grades may request to attend the same day (preferably Wednesday). Both clubs will meet in a new Science Lab room on the 1st floor.

The cost is $119 per semester.  There is a limit of 18 spots in each club.  Up to six of the spots are reserved at no cost for students on free/reduced lunch (just fill out form and choose the pay offline option).  Questions?  Email info@indychess.org.  The chess club will be taught by USCF-certified chess instructor Coach Mike Gant, who has 30+ years experience teaching chess in schools and is the current Club Champion of Indy Chess!
