2-Day Spring Break Chess Camp

About The Event
Students from St. Thomas Aquinas School, St. Monica, and St. Joan of Arc chess clubs are invited to attend a free two-day checkmating camp! The camp is 9a-11:50a for both days (Thursday and Friday, April 3rd-4th).
Coach Mike Chapuran (a USCF-certified chess coach and tournament director, and founder of Indy Chess) along with some middle school volunteers will provide a limit of 18 students all of the following:
Presentation of common checkmating drills (Queen v. King, Rook v. King, Pawn v. King, etc.)
Partner drills to practice the ideas;
Recreation breaks in the gym or playground with Scatterball, Knockout, and more;
Casual chess play and organized Bughouse games (two-on-two chess);

Registration Fee
The fee is $70 (non-members) or $65 (members of Indy Chess) for the two-day camp 9a-12p Thurs-Fri. To play in the USCF-rated tournament on Friday afternoon 12p-3p, select the Camp+Tourney options that adds $17.50 and includes lunch.
